RED BOOKSHELVES PROGRAM

Gently used children’s books needed

We wanted to make people aware that if you have children’s books for ages 0-5 which you no longer need, local Head Start Programs would be delighted with donations of these books. Red Bookshelves, shelves filled with books for children to take home at no charge, is a popular program with local children and their families utilizing local Head Start programs. For Washington County, drop the books off at 18 River Street in Hudson Falls, and in Warren County drop them at the Head Start building on Pearl Street.

Your gift will bring a smile to young faces!

Joe, also a volunteer for Boy Scouts of America, Twin Rivers Council Wakpominee District, is truly an inspiration to all who have been fortunate enough to volunteer, and or work with Joe.  Congratulations to Joe Lehet, and our thanks for all you’ve done for those served by the United Way.

In photo above, Dave DeMarco of Glens Falls National, Barbara Sweet, of Tri-County United Way, Janet Monroe, campaign coordinator for the Bank, and Neil Tater, President of the board of TCUW, commemorate this astounding achievement.
